The sibling of Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl-winning quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Jackson Mahomes, has received a sentence of six months’ probation following an incident involving an assault on a woman.

Jackson, aged 23, participated in his sentencing hearing via video conference and pleaded guilty to a single misdemeanor charge of battery, as documented in online court records.

Subsequently, he was taken into custody by the Johnson County Sheriff’s office for assessment regarding his eligibility for work release.

This sentencing follows the dismissal of three felony charges for aggravated sexual battery approximately two months prior.

These charges stemmed from allegations that Jackson forcibly kissed a woman against her will at an Overland Park, Kansas, restaurant in February 2023.

The decision to drop these more severe charges was influenced by the accuser’s lack of cooperation, as detailed in a court filing.

The remaining misdemeanor battery charge relates to an incident where Jackson allegedly shoved a waiter who attempted to enter a room where Jackson and the woman were situated, as per investigators’ findings.

Prosecutors opted to dismiss the felony charges after the accuser, who also happened to be the owner of the restaurant, declined to testify in the case.

She reported experiencing death threats, harassment, and vandalism directed at her restaurant following the allegations, ultimately leading to its closure in August.

Jackson Mahomes isn’t the sole member of Patrick Mahomes’ family to face legal issues recently.

The quarterback’s father, Patrick Mahomes Sr., a former Major League Baseball pitcher, was arrested in Texas on February 3 for driving while intoxicated.

Despite these familial challenges, Patrick Mahomes Jr. secured his third Super Bowl championship ring in February, guiding the Chiefs to a 25-22 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
