LSU women’s basketball star Angel Reese left Sunday’s NCAA Tournament game against Middle Tennessee with fans chanting, “One more year!,” as the Tigers dominated the second half to advance in Baton Rouge.
Reese hasn’t been perfect through the first two games of the NCAA Tournament, but she showed up strong in the second half to help the Tigers erase a 36-32 deficit and cruise to a convincing 83-56.https://youtu.be/P5OqV8GG8OQ?t=16
Reese connected on six of 17 attempts from the field, and hit eight of 10 free throws to finish with a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds to help the Tigers advance to
The former Maryland transfer does have one year of eligibility remaining, but LSU coach kim mulky excepts Reese and guard Hailey Van Lith both to go pro at the end of the 2023-24 season.
Regardless of what decision Reese makes, she’ll leave quite the legacy at LSU as one of the best players in women’s basketball and a pioneer in the NIL era.
