At halftime of the New England Patriots’ game against the Philadelphia Eagles at Gillette Stadium on September 10, 2023 in Foxborough, Massachusetts, there was a ceremony honouring former quarterback Tom Brady. New England Patriots President Jonathan Kraft and New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft clap as Brady celebrates.
We’ve been hearing for decades about “The Patriot Way,” which played a major role in the team’s six Super Bowl victories under Tom Brady’s leadership.
A former teammate who played cornerback said that he was always well-regarded by his teammates and that opinion hasn’t altered even after retirement.
On “The Get Back,” seasoned cornerback Jonathan Jones gave some insight into Brady’s character as a teammate, describing him as: “So modest…He said, “If anyone could be conceited, it would be him,” and he “created a standard, not by his words…it was his actions.”
Jones, who was Brady’s teammate for four years, claimed that no other player could be justified in acting in that way if Brady wasn’t being conceited in light of everything he has accomplished.
when spending eight years and winning two Super Bowls with Brady, Jones is one of the Patriots’ most seasoned players. He has remained loyal to the team even when things failed under Brady’s leadership and now under Bill Belichick’s direction.
After a miserable 4-13 season that saw the departure of Brady’s replacement, Mac Jones, the New England Patriots are beginning to feel the pinch of Brady’s absence. The quarterback was recently traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars to make room for a prospective rookie who will be selected with the third overall pick in the upcoming draft.
