Tank Dell, a rookie wide receiver in his first season, had the most thrilling run of games in Houston for a rookie pass catcher since Will Fuller V. last season. Sadly, Dell’s thrilling season came to an end when he suffered a broken leg against the Denver Broncos in week 13.
Dell grabbed 47 catches for 709 yards after 11 games, including eight starts, with a ridiculous 15.1 yard per catch average and seven touchdowns. With an average of 4.6 yards per carry, he added an additional 51 yards on 11 runs.
When the second tragedy occurred, Dell was well on his way to full recovery, although some people are never the same after suffering a broken fibula. When a young receiver named Dell was hit by a bullet fired by a mass shooter last month, he was unlucky to be there.
Approximately one month later, Dell is lighting up the Houston Texans’ practice field.
Dell is putting in the effort required to assist in improving the Texans offence once more in 2024, eager to build on the success of the previous season.
He wasn’t only among the NFL’s top rookie receivers the previous season; he was among the finest receivers in the league overall.
I’m not sure what special sauce Dell is consuming, but if the Texans can replicate his recuperation abilities throughout the entire team, they may have discovered the cure for injuries.
Furthermore, quarterback C.J. Stroud will have an abundance of weapons than any opposition defence could ever expect to neutralise with a healthy Dell in the lineup.
Based on his stats from the previous season, Dell will surpass 1,000 yards in week 16 if he plays in all 17 games in 2024. Considering that Dalton Schultz, Nico Collins, and Stefan Diggs are also catching passes, it should be easy for Stroud to pass for more than 5,000 yards this season.
