Ramos’s ability to work deep counts during his at-bats and his balanced approach at the plate were also commended by Giants manager Bob Melvin.
With just two and a half innings pitched and seven hits, Montgomery gave up six earned runs in a rough outing. He acknowledged that the third inning was when the game went south for him and voiced unhappiness with his performance.
