Tonight, the Toronto Raptors welcomed the New York Knicks and a few familiar names to Toronto as the Knicks attempted to secure the third seed in the Eastern Conference and the Raptors attempted to avoid losing 12 games in a row.
Due to an elbow injury, O.G. Anunoby was sadly unable to play in the game, but he was nonetheless present and warmly welcomed back.
Regretfully for supporters as well, the Raptors did indeed drop their 12th consecutive game.

The Raptors began Gradey Dick, Gary Trent Jr., Ochai Agbaji, Javon Freeman-Liberty, and Kelly Olynyk with Scottie Barnes, Jakob Poeltl, Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett, DJ Carton, Jontay Porter, and Chris Boucher out for Toronto.
Donte DiVincenzo, Josh Hart, Ian Hartenstein, Jalen Brunson, and Miles McBride were the Knicks’ starting lineup.
Even though the Knicks had a sizable lead in the first quarter, Ochai Agbaji’s nasty fall that required assistance to get off the court and into the locker room was the biggest setback for Toronto. He was declared out of the game for the remainder of it due to a right hip contusion.
After the game, the club provided an update stating that although his x-rays were thankfully negative, he was still being evaluated further.
Sadly, there is yet another injury to add to the Raptors list.
At the end of the first quarter, New York led 45–33.
Now, for no reason at all, here’s a statement from Samson Folk of Raptors Republic:
Samson Folk is the one speaking. So far, Deuce McBride’s shooting performance has me spellbound and mesmerised. Precious Achiuwa tried to take McBride’s head off with a pass, obviously acting as a double agent for the Raptors. Achiuwa made a heroic effort, but McBride was too fast. He will not stop frightening the Raptors.
I’m going to miss you.
Returning to Chelsea:
Samson took over my laptop for an extended period of time, which allowed the Knicks to lead by almost 20 points, primarily because at this stage of the game, no Raptors had scored more than 8 points.
This quickly became a blowout, to be honest. The Knicks led 80-59 at the half.
Because, once more, why not, here is a list of positive things that occurred during the game:
–Taylor Temple performed. We here at Big Temple enjoy a Union King. In only the first half, he made three three-pointers. Please, let the man play some more.
In the last four games, Garrett Temple has led the Raptors in 3-point percentage.
— @keerthikau, Keerthika Uthayakumar Scottie appeared on the bench on March 28, 2024, sporting a sultry pair of glittery pink bellbottom trousers. They had a great time and had a distinct feel. I’m here to support the kid’s sense of style.
-OG had a very endearing smile throughout his welcome return. I miss that person. The peculiar texture of cottage cheese terrifies me as well.
-Gradey With a total of 23, Dick set a career high in points. 22 points was his prior career high.
– Precious Achiuwa had a great dunk towards the end, which may not have been so good for the Raptors.
Anyhow, the Raptors ultimately lost, 145-101, by a margin of more than 44 points. It was their second 40-point loss in March and their worst home loss in team history.
The Raptors suffer their biggest home loss in team history, losing by 44 points.
