After the Sky picked Angel Reese with the seventh overall pick in the 2024 draft on Monday night, her WNBA career will begin in Chicago.
Reese asked her supporters a single question on X, the old name for Twitter, on Wednesday in an effort to get ready for her professional career. She hopes to make her new basketball home a “catchy” nickname that echoes her nickname from her time as the “Bayou Barbie” at LSU.
“i need a new name now that i’m in chicago lol something cute that is catchy like Bayou Barbie,” wrote Reese.
Naturally, this tweet inspired followers to give a tonne of nickname suggestions in the comments section. Reese may find it difficult to choose her favourite because there were so many clever ones.
